The fall of 2007 becomes election headquarters for the board of the ACFChefs Las Vegas. All the current officers on the board-President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer- as well as three board of directors are up for re-election- if they so choose. Now is the time to step forward and put your name into the race if you would like to challenge them for position!
Our election process begins at our September meeting where we will accept nominations from our general assembly for each position! At our October meeting we will also take nominations, and then close the nomination process. At our November meeting, all nominees will give their speeches, and then ballots will go out to our Active membership. Our newly elected board will be announced at our Christmas party in December.
All officer positions hold two year terms. All board of directors hold four year terms. Nominees must be Active Chef members in good standing with the association for at least one year prior to the term they are running for as a member of the ACFChefs Las Vegas. All officers and board members must be committed to the duties of their positions, and are required to meet once a month at a board meeting for the entirety of their elected term, as well as attend the monthly general meetings. Elected officers are given financial compensation to attend the ACF Regional and National conventions.
